Glossary/Raydium AMM v4

Raydium AMM v4

Raydium's original automated market maker pool type, integrated with Serum order books.

Definition

Raydium AMM v4 is Raydium's original pool architecture, launched alongside Raydium's initial deployment. It combines automated market maker mechanics with integration to the Serum (now OpenBook) order book, providing additional liquidity routing.

AMM v4 pools were the primary pool type for Raydium for an extended period and are the destination for many token migrations from Pump.fun's bonding curve. LP tokens from AMM v4 pools are fungible and widely recognised.

Raydium has since launched additional pool types including CPMM and concentrated liquidity pools (CLMM). However, AMM v4 remains active and many established trading pairs continue to use it.

StakePoint & Raydium AMM v4

StakePoint supports locking LP tokens from Raydium AMM v4 pools — one of the most common LP token types on Solana. AMM v4 LP locks are held in Program Derived Addresses and verifiable on Solscan.
