Staking Rewards
Tokens earned by stakers for locking tokens in a staking pool.
Definition
Staking rewards are tokens distributed to participants who stake their tokens in a staking pool. Rewards are typically funded by the pool creator from a dedicated reward vault and distributed proportionally based on each staker's share of the total staked amount.
On Solana, staking rewards are calculated and distributed on-chain via smart contracts. Stakers can claim accumulated rewards at any time without unstaking their principal. The reward rate is determined by the pool's configured APR and the total amount staked.
Staking rewards can be distributed in the same token that is staked, or in a different reward token configured by the pool creator. Token-2022 pools can also distribute reflection rewards — a share of transfer fees collected by the token.
StakePoint & Staking Rewards
StakePoint staking pools distribute rewards to stakers based on their share of the pool and the configured APR. All reward calculations and distributions are executed on-chain via the StakePoint Anchor smart contract.
